Q: How long have you worked in Accounting & Finance? Recruiting? How were you introduced to the recruiting industry?

A: I graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a degree in Psychology. After college I relocated to Florida and worked for a company where I was responsible for hiring, growing and developing my departments team, which is where I discovered my passion for sourcing, interviewing, and hiring. I love helping others by finding out what motivates them and where they can succeed. This spiked my curiosity to develop my career in a field where I can dive deeper into a process I love.

Q: Why do you enjoy working within Accounting & Finance talent acquisition?

A: I am excited to work in Accounting & Finance to work with motivated professionals who want to develop their careers and take on new opportunities. On the other side, I am also eager to help companies achieve their goals by growing and developing their dream team. I believe strongly in working for a company that you are proud of and want to help place top candidates with their perfect company fit, taking into consideration more than just their title and salary, but also the culture and environment they will be spending their time in.

Q: Where did you grow up?

A: I grew up in Pittsburgh, graduating from Mt. Lebanon High School and the University of Pittsburgh. I have lived in Florida the last 5 years but am very excited to be back in my hometown!

Q: What is your favorite hobby?

A: My hobbies have been to spend time with my family on the water and at the beach, so it will be fun to introduce them to the different activities Pittsburgh has to offer, including hiking, biking through the hills, and skiing in the winter. I love going to flea markets with my family and making crafts with my daughter. When I have some time alone, you can find me at a yoga studio or spending time outside.

Q: What is your view on work/life balance?

A: I believe in managing your time wisely and always working to better yourself and the people you surround yourself with. Make sure you aren’t short changing yourself, your loved ones, or your work! It takes practice and effort, but the payoff is worth it.
