• Assist with complex projects and transactions to executives and functional areas.
• Participate in strategic initiatives such as debt issuances, acquisitions, and treasury activities.
• Take ownership of complex accounting areas, including pensions, insurable liabilities, and contingencies, with support and mentorship from senior team members.
• Assist in preparing accounting memos outlining the treatment of transactions.
• Participate in the assumption-setting process for pension, other post-employment benefits (OPEB), and worker’s compensation plans, under the guidance of senior team members.
• Offer support for day-to-day accounting and reporting questions, escalating more complex issues to senior team members.
• Assist in developing and maintaining detailed accounting policies and procedures, ensuring compliance across the company.
• Contribute to training efforts to support continuing education programs for the finance organization, under the guidance of senior team members.
• Collaborate with the Director of Corporate Accounting to complete and review technical disclosures within SEC filings, with oversight and guidance from senior team members.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• CPA license preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Public Accounting or Corporate External Reporting, with exposure to SEC reporting.
• Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; experience with Oracle, Workiva, and OneStream is a plus.
